Who says fancy breakfasts have to be time-consuming? These toaster French toasts for two prove otherwise! With just a few simple ingredients and your trusty toaster, you can whip up a delicious dish that tastes like it came straight from a trendy brunch café. Whether you need a quick morning pick-me-up or you’re simply craving something sweet, this recipe is a treat you can make in no time. Crispy, fruity, and totally irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of white bread or brioche
  • 1 egg
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey (for the mixture)

Topping

  • Fresh strawberries (4–5, sliced)
  • Fresh berries (e.g. blueberries or raspberries, a handful)
  • Honey (for drizzling)

Instructions

1. Prepare the French toast mix

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, cinnamon, and sugar or honey.

2. Dip the bread

Quickly dip each slice of bread into the mixture—just enough to soak lightly without getting soggy.

3. Prep for the toaster

Let any excess drip off, then place the slices into a toaster bag to prevent the mixture from leaking into your toaster.

4. Toast

Toast the bread in the toaster until golden brown and firm—this usually takes 2–3 minutes.

5. Make the topping

While the toasts are cooking, wash the strawberries and berries. Slice the strawberries.

6. Serve

Place the toasted French toasts on a plate, top with the strawberries and berries, and drizzle with honey for a sweet finishing touch.

Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious, fruity twist on classic French toast. Bon appétit!
